Hovetra is a transport company specialised in transport and handling of bulk products. Hovetra translates market developments in bulk transport of food and feed into new opportunities and challenges. This to remain distinctive in transport solutions and handling of these products.
Due to the versatile logistics services Hovetra proves to be the designated partner in the food industry for decades. Besides trucks with fixed bulk trailers, tippers and compartmentalised trailers, our fleet also contains separate bulk tanks and a compartmentalised suction/blower vacuum trailer. Hovetra possesses their own tank cleaning facility and a storage capacity of eight hundred tons of silo space to load, unload and temporary store bulk containers.
Hovetra has recently entered strategic challenges with the acquisition of the business location in Rhoon and the acquisition of BD Bulktransport, while maintaining the business location in the east of the Netherlands. In the meantime, this restructuring has led to the expected positive effects on the possibilities and the competitive position of the 'Hovetra Group' as a whole. The pre-quantification of objectives in the area of synergy and efficiency contributed to this.
Hovetra operates with young, modern and advanced transport equipment. All trucks are equipped with on-board computers that are linked to the TMS. Expansions in the data exchange and further digitisation will bring new investments in the coming years.
Hovetra pays special attention to the specific characteristics and regulations when transporting food and feed. Ever higher demands are being made on logistics processes. Long-term relationships are less self-evident, the transport wishes of clients are more diverse and the quality expectations are higher.
Developments in information technology are becoming ever faster and will also lead to the digitisation of transport processes with all the associated documentation in the coming years. The developments in logistics are more about adding value than saving costs.
